HERE comes the sun – and people across Oxfordshire have been soaking it up.
Temperatures are several degrees higher than normal for this time of year and an area of high pressure over the UK has meant clear skies.
Yesterday temperatures hit a high of 18C at the Met Offices’s weather station in Brize Norton and today it’s expected to be even hotter with forecasts for a maximum of 19C.
Despite the warm weather some drivers were bemused to see a road sign warning of ice near Cumnor Hill.
A county council spokesman said: “The time is now coming when signs warning of ice will obviously not be needed, however there have been several icy mornings during March so far.”
