THE fatal injuries Captain Lisa Head suffered while trying to clear bombs were truly horrific.
It is amazing for us civilians to read of the sheer bravery of people like Captain Head and her colleagues who went to her rescue.
They know the dangers and they have seen the destructive reality of these devices. And still these brave souls from 11 Explosive Ordnance Disposal Regiment continue to go out on this deathly task.
Every man and woman in that unit is a hero beyond words.
