Dozens of motorbikes roared into action to deliver hundreds of tins of pet food to an Oxfordshire animal sanctuary.
It was the second year running Beerhounds Motorcycle Club organised a charity food run in aid of the Oxford Animal Sanctuary at Stadhampton.
And this year the group more than doubled the amount it delivered – unloading about £700 worth of food and bedding.
Organiser Rob Douglas, vice president of the motorcycle club, said he was really pleased with the amount raised.
He said: “We had 61 motorbikes and over 100 people at the shop during the day supporting the run.
“We took over in excess of £700 of pet food and £100 cash.
“Riders came as far as Hertfordshire and Birmingham to join us.”
He said two of the riders also hoped to adopt two of the dogs at the sanctuary, and another has signed up to sponsor a dog.
Sanctuary manager Ron Heath said: “They did extremely well and we are extremely thankful, it was an excellent day.”
The sanctuary is desperate to rehome two rabbits, one of which has a paralysed leg.
The only requirement is the bunnies, Rory and Rosie who come as a pair, is they need to live in a grassed area so Rory doesn’t damage his leg as he has to drag it to move around. Anyone who can help should visit oxfordshireanimal sanctuary.org.uk or call 01865 890239.
