OXFORD’S Bridge of Sighs formed the backdrop for breakdancing fresh from the streets of Paris.
Elektro Kif, billed as the first new dance style to come from France since the Can-can, is bursting on to the stage at Oxford Playhouse.
Dancer William Falla, also known as Treaxy, said “We’re all very excited to be here – none of us have ever been to Oxford before, or even Britain, so we’re all very excited about this opportunity. I’ve always wanted to perform in the UK, it’s an incredible culture for us. Not many Elektro artists have had the chance to do a tour like this.”
Jeremy Alberge added: “It’s really exciting to be here performing in this very important English city – the university, the students, the architecture, the history and, of course, Harry Potter.”
The show is at Oxford Playhouse tonight and tomorrow. For ticket information, call 01865 305305 or visit oxfordplayhouse.com
