He faces 10 counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child between January 2010 and January this year. Charges came late on Friday after police arrested 13 men in dawn raids on Thursday following an investigation into the alleged abuse of 24 vulnerable girls aged between 11 and 16.
The defendants were denied bail at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court by district judge Lynne Matthews. They will stay in custody until they appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on Friday for a preliminary hearing.
The men had been held at Abingdon Police Station before the court appearance.
Det Insp Simon Morton, the inspector leading the case, said the investigation began in May last year. He said: “This is a very long and complex operation and has many focuses.”
