SIXTH-FORMERS at an Oxford school have created an exhibition of their art coursework at the Burford Garden Company.
The exhibition consists of almost 50 pieces produced by AS-Level design and technology students at St Edward’s School in Woodstock Road. Photography, paintings, drawings, textiles, jewellery boxes and tables feature. Design and technology teacher Laura Allen, pictured, said: “I think it is important for pupils to see the way that designers and artists can show their work to the public.
“All the work in the exhibition is very good – the pupils have worked very hard and deserved to be recognised. Hopefully those visiting can see how worthwhile studying the creative subjects can be and also be enthused to start thinking about designing their own pieces.”
The exhibition runs until April 16. Picture: OX50970 Jon Lewis
