IS there anything wrong with our education system?

The reason I ask is because a friend of mine is concerned about two of her grandchildren. They attend school in Thame and are five and seven years old.

They are being taught sign language, even though there are no deaf children in the school, so she understands. That’s okay for older kids maybe, but as they do not know their ABC at their age, I would be concerned also.

Has the curriculum changed beyond recognition since I was at school?
