They can’t speak yet beyond the odd ‘mama’ and ‘dada’.
But toddlers are already learning how to communicate by taking sing and sign classes.
Sally Balfour-Allen, a teacher from Sing and Sign Oxford, was running a class at Barefoot Books, Summertown, on Tuesday.
Eight babies aged up to 15 months took part in the session.
Mrs Balfour-Allen, pictured playing Hands Fingers Knees and Toes with one-year-old Charlie, said: “For most of our classes, people sign up to 10 weeks but here people can drop-in as well. I love doing the sessions there, the children are always enthusiastic and really lovely.”
