DANCERS will be taking to the skies in a spectacular aerial demonstration at Oxford Castle tomorrow.
Performers from the French Compagnie Retouramont will use ropes, bungee cords, cameras and lights in the UK premiere of Danse des Cariatides.
Dancer Nathalie Tedesco said: “It is difficult for me to put into words the feeling I get when I’m up there, but it’s exciting.
“The projections on the wall are like something inside me, we project the body and there are shadows and lights all over the wall.”
Cameras are used to show the audience what the performers are seeing as they are suspended above the castle.
The show will be performed in the square off Castle Street at 7.30pm tomorrow and on Saturday. Entrance is free.
The event forms part of the annual Dancin’ Oxford festival, which draws to a close next Wednesday.
