A MAN had to be resucitated at the scene of a head-on car crash in Witney last night.
The Reliant Kitten passenger, thought to be in his 60s, was seriously injured in the smash with a Seat Leon on Oxford Hill at the junction with Jubilee Way.
Firefighters had to cut the roof off the Reliant to get the driver and passenger out who were then taken to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital.
Police spokesman Chris Kearney said the passenger had surgery overnight.
He said: “The injuries are serious but not thought to be life threatening at this time.”
The accident happened at about 7.40pm and the road was shut off until just before 1am.
The driver of the Seat is thought to have suffered minor abdominal injuries.
