OXFORD City Council could not say last night whether a consultation on plans for new housing in Barton would be extended after errors were found in official documents.
A consultation on the third draft of the Barton Area Action Plan, a document that will shape the future of the new neighbourhood west of Barton, opened on February 10 and is due to end on Friday.
But defunct website addresses and incorrect email addresses were included on official consultation documents.
Debbie Cross, from Barton Village Road, said the consultation should be extended to give people extra time to respond. She said: “What is the point in having a consultation if we can’t have our say?”
The Barton development is the largest residential opportunity in Oxford since Greater Leys was built.
An city council spokeswoman said the authority was aware of the problem but it had not yet decided whether the consultation period would be extended.
She said the correct email address to contact with questions was planning policy@oxford.gov.uk And the correct website address is oxford.gov.
