POLICE are searching for a man who has been missing since Sunday night.
Ian James, 45, was last seen at his home in Upper Campsfield Road, Woodstock, and last night police said they were becoming increasingly concerned because his disappearance was out of character.
They are checking if he is still in the Oxford area but he also has links to Bognor Regis in Sussex.
Mr James is white, 5ft 8in to 5ft 9in, stocky, with dark greying short hair. When he was last seen he was wearing blue jeans, a blue and green T-shirt with horizontal stripes and white trainers.
He has a distinctive tattoo on the top of his right arm, which is a band with the names ‘Chloe’, ‘Katie’, ‘Billie’ and ‘Ellie’.
He has a blue VW Transporter panel van with the registration number RE11 BYZ.
Sgt Richard Miller said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Ian’s welfare as it is out of character for him to go missing and we have reason to believe that he has been feeling down recently. We need to locate Ian as soon as possible, or for him to get in touch, so that we can check on his welfare.
“We are asking the public to keep an eye out for Ian’s vehicle or anyone matching his description and contact us as soon as possible if they think they have information about his whereabouts.”
Anyone with information about Mr James should call Thames Valley Police on 101, quoting URN 460 19/3/12.
