IT makes you weep to discover the petty theft of a single piece of 14th century alabaster reredos from St Peter’s Church in Drayton.
They have survived the centuries only for someone to swipe them. And to what gain?
By itself it is worthless yet with the rest of the series effectively priceless.
Would it be too much to hope this theft may be put right by the thief finding a conscience?
