LITTLE Charlotte Nott beamed as she received a standing ovation at the Kassam Stadium on Saturday.
The four-year-old, who had to have the lower sections or her arms and legs amputated whilst battling meningitis, was the guest of honour at Oxford United’s game against Rotherham United.
And last night, fans had raised more than £3,800 in the Cowley youngster’s honour by bidding for unique players’ shirts worn in the game which read “United 4 Charlotte”.
The money will be split between the Charlotte Fund and SpecialEffect, a Charlbury-based charity which adapts computer games for disabled people.
The charity recently helped Charlotte play the games she loves with a specially adapted Wii controller.
Before Saturday’s game, Charlotte also enjoyed a kickaround with club chairman Kelvin Thomas and mascot Olly the Ox.
