VANDALS damaged 11 cars parked outside Oxford homes in just one night.
The yobs left a trail of destruction in Wood Farm and Headington smashing car windows and windscreens in Wood Farm Road, Titup Hall Drive, York Road and Wharton Road.
No cars were stolen and nothing was taken from them.
One resident, who asked not to be named, had two cars damaged in the early hours of Tuesday.
“We counted 11,” she said. “When the police came round they said they had reports from others as well.
“My car alarm went off at about 4am and we jumped out of bed. There were two lads and they rode off on bicycles.
“Two of my cars were damaged. The insurance is covering it but it would have been £500 or £600.
“It’s a day out of your life – I couldn’t go to work because I had no car and I had to wait for the police.
“When we went out on to the street there was devastation. There’s so much inconvenience and upset caused by these vandals.”
Wood Farm neighbourhood Sgt Natasha Park said: “If anyone saw anything we’d like them to call in.
“We’ve increased our patrols and are now following up several lines of enquiry.”
She said parents worried their children could be involved should get in touch.
“I will talk through what options there are and how between us we can best deal with this,” she said.
Anyone with information should call the Wood Farm neighbourhood team on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
