A PASSING doctor helped paramedics and fire crews as they battled to free two people trapped inside wrecked cars on the B4035.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a two vehicle head on collision at Tyne Hill just outside Swalcliffe just after 6.30pm yesterday.
A spokesman for the fire service said one of the injured drivers had managed to release themselves, but the force of the impact had left the other still trapped inside their vehicle and unable to escape.
Fire crews, ambulance and the passing doctor, whose details are not known, worked together to free the driver from the wreckage.
Both drivers were left in the care of the ambulance service.
