DAPPER teens donned their finery to enjoy tea – Jane Austen style.
Pupils from Headington School, Oxford, sported 19th costume for a Pride and Prejudice tea party.
Yesterday’s treat saw them re-enacting scenes from the book, which they have been studying as part of their English GCSE course.
Hannah Lindley, 15, from Bicester, said: “It was great fun dressing up. It helped give some context for the novel.”
Bea Vincent, 15, from Thame, agreed, saying: “It was a really good idea. We re-enacted scenes that lots of us remember.”
Dressed up are, from left, Emma Isle, Hannah Lindley, Alex Pain, Bea Vincent, Lucy Weldon, Tamsin Fox, Flora Loake and Tess Pollard.
