A CONCERT is to be held in Deddington in memory of 16-year-old road crash victim Eddie Lynch.
Robbie Williams tribute act Mike Andrew and village covers band The Breakfast Men will play on Saturday night at the Church of St Peter and St Paul to raise funds for road safety charity Brake and towards a memorial bench in the village.
Organiser Steve Miller said: “My daughter Grace knew Eddie and it was a particularly tragic story.
“The bench is something the family want.”
The youngster, who attended Warriner School in Bloxham, was riding a moped when he was struck by drink-driver Glen Holburt, 53, in April last year on the B4031 Clifton Road. Holburt, of Duns Tew Road, Hempton, was jailed for four years.
Tickets for the concert are available on the door at 7.30pm or from Steve Miller Hair in Market Place, Deddington, and One Man Band in White Lion Walk, Banbury.
