APPRENTICE finalist Claire Young was in Oxford yesterday teaching youngsters how to get hired not fired.
She was giving a talk on enterprise at The Cherwell School, North Oxford, after a team of business studies students ‘won’ her by raising enough money.
The team won a competition organised by the Schools Network by raising £1,760 towards a library in South East Asia.
Ms Young, pictured, who now runs a young person’s business start-up scheme, said: “So many schools do not understand or do not prioritise enterprise work, but Cherwell is the best example to show others how to do it.
“The young people here are proactive, use their initiative, think outside the box and have excellent communication skills.”
Sara Imani-Masouleh, 16, said: “She talked about how her life had changed since she made her own business. It was definitely inspiring.”
Earlier this week another Apprentice star, Melody Hossaini, gave a talk to Oxford Spires pupils.
