MPS have recently, led by David Cameron, lambasted cheap drink available to the poor Joe Public.
But just one moment – the House of Commons bars are heavily subsidised by taxpayers; £5.8m last year and, as far as I know, smoking is still allowed in the bars.
In light of the latest drunken brawl in the Stranger’s Bar, isn’t it a question of the pot calling the kettle black?
