On behalf of Old Marston Parish Council, I would like to thank the team of volunteers who joined us as part of the OxClean event, giving up two hours of their free time to pick up litter from one end of Old Marston to the other.
Between us we collected about 30 sacks of rubbish, including ten sacks for recycling, some large bulky items and used syringes. Not only did we help make Old Marston more litter-free, but we had fun doing it.
I would also like to thank Mick Clarke, who could not join us on the day so went out a few days earlier and collected several sacks of litter.
We hope to do this again and would encourage others to join us.
DUNCAN HATFIELD, Deputy Chairman of Old Marston Parish Council
