OXON: More than 1,500 people have signed a petition against a proposed ban on gluten-free prescription food.
In January, the Oxford Mail revealed NHS Oxfordshire was considering a ban on food prescriptions to cut costs.
The authority said it spent £350,000 a year on goods for coeliac disease sufferers, who are gluten-intolerant.
An e-petition against the plan now has more than 1,500 signatures. To sign. go to petitions.direct.gov.uk/ petitions/27968 A date for the decision has not yet been set.
