ELECTRICITY company workers swapped volts for volunteering to spruce up a junior football club pavilion.
The Scottish and Southern Energy power distribution workers were given a day to do a good deed in the community of their choosing.
Team leader and Kennington Athletic Junior Football Club vice-chairman Trevor Croad knew just the job – and his staff of 10 set to work at the Forest Side pavilion last Tuesday.
Mr Croad, 49, of The Avenue, Kennington, said: “We repainted two changing rooms and a kitchen, cleared some brambles and gave it a wash and brush-up.
“The lads were happy to do it, they were very cheerful.”
