More workshops are planned to help Bicester householders find out how to reduce their carbon footprint thanks to a £58,000 Government grant.
In a joint initiative by Grassroots Bicester, BioRegional, Cherwell District Council and Oxford Brookes University, homes in the Highfield area are being targeted.
The sessions, which are open to everyone, take place at the Lower School Hall, Bicester Community College, Queens Avenue, on Wednesday, March 28, at 7.30pm, when people can find out how to generate their own energy, and at the Highfield Social Club, George Street, on Wednesday, March 14 and 21, where people can find out how to cut heating and electricity bills.
Debbie Pickford, council lead member for housing, said: “This is a fantastic chance for people to find out where they’re losing money and take action to tackle it. There is a huge amount of advice available and I believe it’s in everyone’s interest to find out more.”
