VALE of White Horse Under 14s opened their season in impressive fashion with a 6-0 win over Wellingborough & Rushden in a friendly at King Alfred's Community & Sports College, Wantage.
Sam Quelch opened the scoring, sweeping in a right-wing cross, before Josh McCaffer increased Vale's lead.
Under 13 striker Olly Taylor then, who came into the side with two forwards unavailable, added a brace to make it 4-0 at half-time.
A goalkeeping error allowed Matt Clarke to score, and the best move of the game saw Tamas Barrett raced clear down the right to set up Matt Poffley for No 6.
IAIN Pinder hit a six-timer as Vale of White Horse Under 11s warmed up for the season with an 11-0 win over Larkmead, Abingdon Under 12s.
Freddy Horsell (2), James Glover, James Clarke and Simon Carter also netted.
Vale's squad of 14 for the season was selected after a series of games against Gloucester, Newbury and Swindon.
