A MAN arrested after a car was stolen with a two-and-a-half-year old girl sleeping inside has been released on police bail.
The £25,000 Range Rover was taken from a driveway in Headington on Tuesday while the child's parents were unloading the shopping. The child was asleep in her car seat.
A police search was launched before the 2003 Range Rover was found in Osler Road, Headington, half an hour after it was taken.
The girl was unharmed.
Police arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of theft, burglary and false imprisonment on Thursday, but said yesterday he had been released on police bail while inquiries continue.
