OXFORDSHIRE MPs claimed £9,629.64 in expenses in October and November.
Henley’s John Howell claimed the most, at £3,344.90. This included £1,450 for each month’s rent for a flat in London.
Oxford East’s Andrew Smith claimed £1,705.23, including £1 for cycling his own bicycle to St Gregory the Great School for a meeting on October 28. He also claimed £2.20 and £1.60 for cycling to two other meetings in the same month.
Oxford West and Abingdon’s Nicola Blackwood claimed £2,424.59, while Wantage MP Ed Vaizey claimed £824.80.
Prime Minister David Cameron claimed £181.30 for stationery and staff phone bills and Banbury’s Tony Baldry claimed £1,148.82.
All of the MPs’ claims were approved by the Independent Parliamentary Standards Board.
The figures were included in the latest batch of expenses data from IPSA, the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority.
In the two months, IPSA processed £3.5m in expenses claims from MPs in the UK.
