So Downton Abbey fever is now catching on in Oxfordshire.
In fact, residents of Bampton are fortunate enough to have swelled the numbers as extras in one crucial scene that finished filming yesterday.
Apparently everybody in the village is happy about the association. And why shouldn’t they be?
After all, think what Inspector Morse – and Lewis – have done for Oxford.
And they weren’t as well dressed...
