ALL’S fair this week as Fairtrade Fortnight reaches Oxford.
It was celebrated with a Fairtrade fair at Oxford Hub in Turl Street on Sunday, featuring ethical fashion, food and fun.
Oxford Bike Co-op, Oxford Bread Group and local fruit and veg producers Cultivate all took part. Nicola Thornley, pictured above, of Trade for Development, which organised the fair with the Midcounties Co-op, said: “Fairtrade is often associated with coffee, bananas and sugar but there is a lot more on offer than just that.
“There are all sorts of different things you can get which are fairtrade.
“We have scarves which are dyed with plant dye from India. We have products from as far away as Peru and Bolivia.”
