HOLLYWOOD star Michael Douglas will visit Oxford tomorrow to address the Oxford Union.

Douglas, the winner of two Academy Awards who is married to Catherine Zeta-Jones, is best known for his roles in Fatal Attraction and Wall Street and in 1998 received the prestigious Crystal Globe award for artistic contribution to world cinema.

Douglas has overcome a number of personal setbacks over the years, including a divorce and a skiing accident that put his career on hold for three years.

Outside his film career he has been a supporter of the US Democrats and is involved in the fight for nuclear disarmament.

He will speak at the Union, in Frewin Court, Oxford, at 8.30pm and will be taking questions from the audience afterwards.
