HUNDREDS of happy future brides and grooms flocked to the region’s biggest bridal event at Oxford Town Hall.
It comes as the Oxford Mail launches its Bride and Groom Of The Year competition offering lucky couples an exclusive wedding package worth more than £5,000.
Yesterday’s Oxford Mail Wedding Fair featured two fashion shows, an array of freebies and live music.
Experts in photography, honeymoons, menswear, bridalwear, lingerie, cars, stationery, decorations, tiaras, discos, entertainment and catering were on hand. Venues on offer for getting hitched include the historic Oxford Town Hall, the Ashmolean, the Randolph, and Eynsham Hall and some 75 exhibitors laid on special deals on florists, hairdressers, make-up artists, cakes and jewellery.
Couples went armed with their entry slips explaining why they deserved to scoop a £5,000 package thanks to the generosity of the county’s most respected wedding suppliers.
Nikki Stimpson, of Appleton, was accompanied by mum Jeanette.
She said: “I’m really glad I went. I got loads of good ideas.
“It was well worth it.”
