Faringdon wants people to vote to help reward the people, groups and businesses doing good in the town.
This is the third year the Faringdon Town Council Community Awards have been handed out.
The finalists this year for the Clive Davis Community Hero prize are Mike Robinson for his work with Faringdon Family Centre, Peter Wentworth for his work to promote the town, and Gordon and Anne Dowell for their charity work.
Shortlisted in the Group Award are Faringdon Fire and Rescue Service, Faringdon Scouts and Explorers and the Free Church Cemetery Trust.
And in the Business Award category are Costcutters, the Mobility Store and Pat Thomas Butchers.
Town mayor Mike Wise said: “It gives some recognition to people in the town who have given outstanding service and it’s good for the town in bringing people together.”
Pat Thomas Butchers has traded in the town for almost 60 years.
Manager Peter Sharps said: “It is pleasing to be nominated by the customers. It’s nice to know you are appreciated by the community.”
Voting closes on Friday, March 23, and a presentation of certificates will take place in April.
Votes can be cast at Faringdon Community and Tourist Information Centre and Faringdon Town Council.
