Science fair helps kids join up the dots
TWO weeks of science fun kicked off with a bang over the weekend.
About 5,000 people turned up to Bonn Square in Oxford for the launch of Oxfordshire Science Festival.
Plenty of hands-on fun was lined up, including stalls laid on by Siemans, Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust and the University Museum of Natural History.
Seven-year-old Kaela Nelson from Kennington, above, saw the museum’s collection of beetles.
She said: “I had a really nice time. There was some fossilised dinosaur poo as well. I liked the fact the male beetles had longer legs than the females.”
The Science Festival lasts until Sunday, March 18, with events taking place across the county. For more information, visit oxfordshirescience festival.co.uk
