People convicted of offences at magistrates' courts around the county recently:
Emma Luker, 29, of Ock Street, Abingdon, admitted two counts of shoplifting a £99.99 Shark Steam Mop from Home Store and More in Abingdon on October 23 and 29. Given a 12-month conditional discharge.
Timothy Tyrer, 46, of Fleet Way, Didcot, admitted drink-driving in The Broadway, Didcot, on January 2. Namely having 99 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £310, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for three years.
Hayley Burns, 31, of Woodgreen, Witney, admitted shoplifting two Jack Daniel’s whiskey gift sets valued at £36 from BHS in Oxford on December 7. Given a six-month conditional discharge.
Daniel Badger, 46, of Newbury Street, Wantage, admitted assault by beating in Wantage on New Year’s Eve. Fined £160, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
Tonya Gree, 42, of Brocklesby Road, Oxford, convicted of assault by beating in Oxford on August 14. Fined £180, a £15 victims’ surcharge and told to pay £200 costs and £50 compensation.
Hugo Silva-Oliveira, 23, of Havelock Road, London, admitted possessing MDNA and another Class A drug in Oxford on New Year’s Day 2011 and failing to surrender to bail on July 27, 2011. Fined £120, a £15 victims’ surcharge £100 costs.
Stephen Best, 48, of Palmer Road, Faringdon, admitted assault by beating in Faringdon on January 14. Given two years’ supervision and told to participate in the community domestic violence programme for 90 days. Also told to pay £85 costs.
Loucie Byles, 19, of Williamson Way, Oxford, admitted shoplifting food from Welcome Break services in Waterstock on November 13 and assault by beating in Sandford-on-Thames on October 7. Fined £50, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £25 costs and told to pay £100 compensation. Given a two-month curfew.
Krzysztof Wilgorz, 34, of Church Cowley Road, Oxford, admitted drink-driving in Hollow Way, Oxford, on January 4. Namely having 62 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Also admitted failing to surrender to court bail on February 10. Fined £150, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 16 months.
Sandra McDonald, 50, of Beauchamp Place, Oxford, admitted shoplifting a pair of knickers, two hair clips, and a throw from Matalan in Oxford on November 26 and failing to surrender to court bail on February 8. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £50 costs.
Dean Britnell, 39, of Cherwell Avenue, Kidlington, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause a fear of immediate unlawful violence in Oxford on December 3. Told to do 200 hours’ unpaid work and to pay £85 costs.
Alysha Dix, 19, of Ford Lane, Drayton St Leonard, admitted drink-driving in Bear Lane, Stadhampton, on Christmas Day. Namely having 85 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £200, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 22 months.
Karl Kuhne, 33, of Jerome Way, Shipton-on-Cherwell, admitted being drunk and disorderly in the beer garden of the Boundary House pub in Abingdon on December 23 and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in Oxford on December 28. Fined £140, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £50 costs.
Aaron Shaw, 26, of Three Corners Road, Oxford, admitted drink-driving in Cowley Road, Oxford, on Christmas Day. Namely having 80 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £100 and a £15 victims’ surcharge. Banned from driving for 40 months.
Patricia Wright, 50, of Cotmore Gardens, Thame, admitted drink-driving in Chinnor Road, Thame, on December 23. Namely having 71 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £300, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 20 months.
Justin Dixon, 35, of Stonhouse Crescent, Radley, admitted drink-driving in Manor Grove, Kennington, on Boxing Day. Namely having 100 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Given 80 hours’ unpaid work and told to pay £85 costs. Banned from driving for two years.
Nazife Dedja, 54, of Quarry Hollow, Oxford, convicted of criminally damaging a wooden cabinet valued at £120 belonging to Oxford Radcliffe NHS Trust on March 30, and convicted of assault by beating on the same day. Given an 18-month conditional discharge and told to pay £50 costs and £50 compensation.
Michelle Archer, 42, of Beeching Way, Wallingford, admitted driving without insurance and drink-driving in High Street, Wallingford, on Christmas Eve. Namely having 54 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £200, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £20 costs. Banned from driving for 38 months.
Daniel McCarthy, 30, of Balmoral Avenue, Banbury, admitted stealing a pair of sunglasses, a car radio, CDs and a black ring in Banbury on September 3. Given a two-year conditional discharge and told to pay £40 costs and £84.99 compensation.
Anthony Banks, 48, of Meadow View, Wendlebury, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in Bicester on December 6. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £50 compensation and £40 costs.
Natasha Bell, 21, of Spencer Street, Rothwell, Kettering, admitted shoplifting a cooked chicken and a tray of canned Smirnoff drinks from Tesco in Bicester on November 29. Fined £50 and a £15 victims’ surcharge.
