A teenager yesterday admitted to a jury he was a burglar but denied being the man who sexually attacked a student at her college.
Sead Mirvic, 18, of Ingle Close, Northway, Oxford, is accused of burglary, sexual assault and causing grievous bodily harm following an incident at an Oxford college involving a female student on October 14 last year. Mirvic denies all charges.
At Oxford Crown Court, he told the jury how he went about burgling homes - knocking on doors to check if residents were at home.
He admitted, when questioned by prosecutor Paul Reid, that he got an adrenaline rush from this.
Mr Reid then put to Mirvic that, on the night of the incident, he knocked on the victim's door inside a hall of residence.
The jury had previously been told that the woman was expecting a friend.
Mr Reid said: "There was a girl there and in that split second, you attacked her so viciously that you knocked her out."
Mirvic again replied: "No."
The jury had previously been told the woman had suffered a catalogue of injuries, including a fractured left cheek, a fractured lower jaw and bruising to her arms, legs and back.
Mirvic also told the court he was at a party at the Rover Sports and Social Club in Cowley on the night of the attack.
But Mr Reid told the jury that when Mirvic was arrested, he had said he was at a party at the Royal British Legion club in Barton.
Secretary of the RBL club Terry Cox told the court there was no party on October 14.
The case continues.
