Not content with reporting people for smoking, I see we now have a website where people can be reported for driving misdemeanours allegedly perpetrated by the public (Oxford Mail, September 28).

Forgive my mistake, but I thought that it was the job of the local constabulary to enforce such things.

These people must lead sad, pathetic lives if running these websites is all they have to do.

I think I will join them and get my own website up and running - www.sadoldgits.com sounds about right.

People would be able to report any useless, idle folk they see on their travels about Oxfordshire.

People carrying clipboards are a particular pet hate of mine, wandering about trying to look important while doing nothing of any value.

Certain religions also waste their time rattling door knobs and stuffing unwanted religious pamphlets through letterboxes.

Get a life - if you want to do something useful, tidy up a pensioner's garden, go out litter picking or perform some other useful task.

Have these sad people realised that the publication of unproven facts reported on these websites could lead to a case of defamation of character?

Be careful, it might backfire on you.
