A DUTCH student was knocked to the ground and robbed of £65 in Banbury Road, Summertown.
The 17-year-old was walking past the Dew Drop public house at 10pm on Friday, when he was approached by a man who blocked his path before threatening him and grabbing hold of his T-shirt and rucksack.
A second man appeared and also assaulted the victim who then handed over cash. During the attack, the victim was knocked to the ground near the bus stop, suffering swelling and bruising to his face.
Police said the attackers were white and aged in their late teens to early twenties. The first man had short blond hair and was carrying a red and white beer can while the second had dark tight curly hair.
A police spokesman said: "The attack took place in a busy area of the city and police are hopeful people will have witnessed the incident."
