BANBURY businesses are being encouraged to deck their premises in a burst of colour to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Banbury Town Council wants firms to prepare to honour Her Majesty during June’s celebrations.
It also hopes this will help Banbury retain its gold award presented by the Royal Horticultural Society for its Britain in Bloom campaign last year.
The council said the town will be decked in red, white and blue floral displays and hanging basket workshops will be held for school pupils in People’s Park.
Council member and Banbury in Bloom chairman Nicholas Harrison said: “With everyone’s support Banbury could celebrate this year in style.”
