A DEVELOPER has launched an appeal to try to get permission for a plan for six affordable homes in Mollington, north of Banbury.

The Cascade Partnership acted after Cherwell District Council refused the plan in August for land south of Chestnut Road.

The council said the homes would be “within the open countryside”.

It also said the plan was “out of keeping” with the rural area and there was “no need” for the homes.

Mollington Parish Council and 43 people objected to the August plan with concern over traffic and visual impact.

The Planning Inspectorate will now make a final decision.
