Police appeal after attempted burglary Police are appealing for information after an attempted burglary at Finishing Touches hair salon in Market Place, Deddington.

At about 9.30pm on Thursday, three men smashed a rear window, but ran off when they were disturbed by a neighbour.

The men were all white and in their late teens or early twenties. One was wearing a grey hooded top and white baseball cap and is of slight build. The second was about 5ft 8in, stocky, with mousy short hair and a goatee beard. He was wearing a light coloured top with a T-shirt underneath and blue jeans. The third man was about 5ft 10in and was wearing a dark top.

PC Steph Welsh, of Banbury police, said: "Luckily the thieves did not get into the property as they were disturbed. The area is quite secluded and I am hopeful someone may have noticed the men acting suspiciously.

"We have quite good descriptions of the offenders from one witness so I would urge anyone who recognises the descriptions or who has any information to contact me."

PC Welsh can be contacted at Banbury police station via the Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. Alternatively, if you don't want to speak to police or leave your name, call the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
