A fantastic game to start the year and a fair result with action all the way.
Cholsey applied the early pressure with Ardington struggling to cope but managing somehow. A Frank Lampard moment happened when a strike by Cholsey’s RS hit the bar then bounced down. Was it over? Far too difficult to tell and the Ardington keeper collected the ball.
Against the run of play Ardington attacked resulting in Max Cox forcing his way through the Cholsey defence to slot home and make it 1-0 to the home side. A second goal came quickly after from a well taken corner by Callum Hendry and met well in the air, again, by Max Cox to make it 2-0.
RS then made his mark for Cholsey skipping past a number of players and casually slotted home to make it 2-1.
In the second half, RS for Cholsey passed wide and MW connected well, hitting a cross come shot that rocketed into the net to make it 2-2.
