A MAN killed in a collision on the A4260 in Deddington has been identified as John Coleman, a village resident.
Mr Coleman, 44, died after the Ford Mondeo in which he was a passenger hit a tree alongside the road on Friday, September 22.
The driver of the car was injured in the crash and taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition, said police.
Thames Valley Police incorrectly stated at the time of the accident that the driver was killed and the passenger was seriously injured. It has apologised unreservedly to the families of the two parties for any distress the error caused.
