A 71-year-old man appeared before magistrates charged with stealing a red suitcase at Charlbury railway station.
Pavel Acasndrei, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged on Thursday.
Yesterday he was remanded in custody by magistrates until his next appearance on Friday.
