OXFORD: A catering manager at Oxford Brookes University will lose his job after admitting drink-driving, a court was told.
Louis Cavaco, 34, of Cricket Road, admitted drink-driving on Friday and was banned for 12 months by Oxford magistrates.
Cavaco was followed by police from Rose Hill Road on December 5 and stopped on a slip road on the Eastern bypass.
Catherine Scammel, defending, said he had drunk two glasses of wine and did not think he would be over the limit.
He had 54 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. The limit is 35.
Cavaco was fined £220 with £100 costs. His ban will be cut by three months if he completes a driving course.
