POLICE have released an e-fit to help trace a man suspected of indecently assaulting an 11-year-old girl in Southmoor.
The girl was walking down Stonehill Lane in Southmoor at 5.40pm on September 14 when she was approached by a man who tried to indecently assault her.
The man is white, 5ft 7in tall and in his late 20s to 30s. He has dark brown hair and was wearing a white T-shirt and knee length blue shorts. He ran off down Sandy Lane.
PC Chris Ball, who is investigating the incident, said: "I believe this E-fit is a very good likeness of the attacker and I hope that someone will look at it and be reminded of a person they suspect.
"I would urge anyone who thinks they may recognise this man to get in touch with me or use the Crimestoppers service anonymously."
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Chris Ball, of Wantage Police, on 0845 8 505 505 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
