Icy conditions across the county caused 17 traffic crashes and a “significant” number of falls on Saturday morning.
South Central Ambulance Service said it was called to 15 road accidents between 7.28am and 11.55am – twice the normal number.
Communications manager Michelle Ullett advised people to take precautions.
She said: “We would encourage drivers and walkers to take care when you are out and about.
“Roads and pavements continue to be icy so it is important to leave more time for your journey.” She advised drivers to properly de-ice cars before setting off and walkers to wear shoes with a sturdy grip.
The ambulance service has urged residents only to call 999 if absolutely necessary to ease pressure on paramedics.
