POLICE have linked two fires in Banbury that are now believed to be arson.
The arsons both happened at 49 Oxford Road this week. The first occurred on Monday between 9.30pm and 10pm and the second one occurred on Wednesday at 9.30pm.
PC Ian Gibbard, of Banbury CID, said: "These two fires both started at the same building, which was a house that is under construction.
"A considerable amount of damage has been caused. The house is on a main road and the area is very built up so, despite the late hour I am hopeful people passing or living nearby may have seen something."
Anyone with information should call PC Gibbard of Banbury CID, on 0845 8 505 505 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
