A 21-YEAR-OLD man was in a serious condition in hospital after he was stabbed a number of times on an Oxford estate last night.
Police are hunting for two men - one who may have suffered stab wounds himself - after the stabbing in Willow Way, Blackbird Leys, at 7.45pm.
The man, who has not been named, was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with at least three stab wounds in a serious condition, but not believed to be life-threatening.
Neighbours said they heard shouts and commotion in the front garden of a terraced house before police arrived. Police cordoned off the house and a grass area between Willow Way and Windrush Tower while a forensics team scoured the area.
A mother-of-two of Willow Way, who did not want to give her name, said: "I'm scared. I heard shouting and arguments. I see a lot of young boys and people in hooded tops and caps going there."
A 47-year-old neighbour said: "I heard shouting and there was a commotion. Quite a few people were crowded round the house in the front garden until the police and ambulance arrived and they seemed to be mostly family and friends."
A police spokesman said no arrests had been made and no weapon had been found.
Police are appealing for information on two men who were at the scene but were unable to provide a description.
