STAFF at Moulsford Prep School, near Wallingford, are preparing to hold a memorial service for Mike Cutbush, 56, teacher at the school for 30 years.
He died in the Sue Ryder home at Nettlebed in July from cancer.
Mr Cutbush, a bachelor, lived in Caversham.
He was head of the junior part of the school, taught maths and coached both football and cricket.
His interests outside the school included watching his greyhounds run at Reading dog track, and he was a passionate follower of Reading Football Club.
Mike Higham, head at Moulsford, said: "He was a much-loved teacher, one of the most outstanding and inspirational I have ever had the privilege to work with. Generations of Moulsford pupils have so much to thank him for."
