CHILDREN have been using their creative talent to design warning signs that will be put up on roads near their homes.
Youngsters at Heyford Park, near Bicester, drew a snail, a car and a bicycle and used the slogans ‘20 is Plenty’ and ‘Kill Your Speed Not Me’ to create speed limit signs telling drivers to slow down on their estate.
The event was organised by Heyford Park Residents’ Association.
Three signs were chosen by the judges and will be made into road signs.
Children’s illustrators Korky Paul and Mario Coelho and neighbourhood officer Pc Caroline Brown sifted through dozens of entries.
Former residents’ association secretary and organiser Sue Austin said: “Most people do drive carefully but we started to get complaints about motorbikes and cars driving fast.”
